Mennonite Disaster Service ("MDS") is a volunteer network of Anabaptist churches that responds in Christian love to those affected by disasters in Canada and the United States. While the main focus is on clean up, repair and rebuilding homes, this service touches lives and nurtures hope, faith and wholeness.
Volunteers from our church have worked to help rebuild homes destroyed by fires in places like Bastrop,Texas, and homes damaged by flooding in High River, Alberta. Other MDS volunteers have helped rebuild homes destroyed by wildfires in Fort McMurry, Alberta, home flooded in the Fraser Valley, and homes destroyed by the BC Wildfires.
