Developed in collaboration with Indigenous Elders, Knowledge Keepers and educators, the KAIROS Blanket Exercise (KBE) is an interactive and experiential teaching tool that explores the historic and contemporary relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in the land we now know as Canada.

The KAIROS Blanket Exercise is an interactive and experimental workshop to learn about the shared history of Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada. The blankets represent the land and people are invited to walk through history from pre-contact to current day in 45-60 minutes. This exercise is followed by a sharing circle to debrief the experience. An Indigenous person will witness the learning that takes place and shares with the group at the end of the sharing circle.

Bridget Findlay, MCC's Indigenous Neighbours Coordinator, will be speaking in our morning service at 10:15 am, and then leading the KBE at noon.
