To Remember is to Work for Peace

 Eagle Ridge Bible Fellowship is part of a denomination that has a historic commitment to Jesus' call to peacemaking. For nearly 500 years until today our Anabaptist ancestors and brothers and sisters have sought to follow the example of Jesus and His command to "love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" (Matthew 5:44). At times we have been guilty of being peace-lovers more than we have been peacemakers; concentrating more on avoiding war than actively making peace.  But over our history many believers have lived out the call to be peacemakers and many have given their lives by following Jesus and his way of peace (e.g. Dirk Willems).
